Simply Determined: Another 2.2 lbs lost

If only there weren’t so many left to lose! It was nice to see that the scale had again moved in the right direction, but I’m feeling impatient. I keep telling myself to think about other things, not the diet! I will say, however, that I’m not feeling tempted to quit. As long as I see progress, I hang in there. I just worry about the possibiity of hitting a plateau and losing my verve.

  1. Way to go, SD! You go, girl! FYI, you are losing more than I did each week. People aren’t really supposed to lose more than 1 to 2 pounds per week, unless under a doctor’s care.

Losing too much weight too fast can leave a lot of extra skin.

Keep in mind that this isn’t just about losing weight but being healthier. Also, hitting a plateau means you need to take a look at what you are doing and change something. Weight loss is like predicting the weather — many variables affect it.

Yes, I was surprised to have lost over two pounds. I expected to slow down, even though one part of me doesn’t want to do so. I’ll see what happens this week. I started walking and I may need to adjust the diet to accommodate the exercise.

  3. Wow, that’s wonderful that you are walking! I’m SO proud of you!!!
